How do I program this remote?

Genie GITR-3BX Programming Instructions

Follow section A to program the remote.  Only one button can be programmed to a single Genie garage door opener.  Only right (single dot) button can be used for Genie models made from 1995 - 1997.

Follow section C to erase all radio controls from your Genie garage door opener.

A.  Learn Code Button Programming Instructions

1.  Install the battery.

2.  Press and release the learn code button on your garage door opener.  The red LED will blink rapidly.

3.  Press and release the remote button.  The red LED will stop blinking and stay on.

4.  Press and release the remote button again.  The red LED will turn off.

5.  Press and release the remote button to operate the door.  Your remote is now programmed.

D.  Erase Garage Door Opener Memory

1.  Press and hold the learn code or program set button until the LED light goes out.

2.  Reprogram and remotes or keypads you still want to use.
