The LiftMaster 882LMW Multi-Function Wall Control is a hardwired door control for Security+ 2.0 garage door openers, providing convenient, in-garage operation of the door and opener lights along with a vacation lock for added security. Designed for compatibility with most LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Craftsman residential openers that use Security+ 2.0 technology (typically identified by a yellow Learn button and many MyQ-enabled models), this replacement wall button gives you a large door control, a dedicated Light button to switch the opener lights on or off, and a Lock button that disables remote controls and keyless entries when engaged. An indicator light shows lock status at a glance.
Installation is straightforward using a two-conductor low-voltage connection to the opener’s wall control terminals, and it can usually reuse existing bell wire. Mount the control within sight of the door and out of children’s reach in accordance with UL 325 guidelines; no wireless pairing is required. This model is intended for compatible residential LiftMaster/Chamberlain/Craftsman Security+ 2.0 openers and is not designed for earlier non–Security+ 2.0 systems or commercial door operators. When used with a MyQ-enabled Security+ 2.0 opener, the 882LMW functions as the in-garage control interface; MyQ smart features reside in the opener or hub.
