The Genie 19614R.S Universal Push Button is a wired, wall-mounted control for garage door openers that provides simple, reliable open/close/stop operation with a single press. Designed as a straightforward replacement part or upgrade for a basic wall button, it uses a standard two-wire, momentary-contact connection and works with Genie and many other major-brand openers that accept a dry-contact wall control input. Because it relies on the opener’s low-voltage control circuit, no programming is required—just connect the two wires to the rear screw terminals and to the opener’s wall control inputs, then mount the button at a convenient location.
This universal push button is ideal for residential applications where a clean, no-frills door control is desired or when replacing a worn or broken wall switch. It is not a multi-function console and does not provide features such as vacation lock or light control; it simply commands the opener each time it’s pressed. For safety and best results, disconnect power to the opener before wiring, use appropriate low-voltage bell wire, and install the control at least 5 feet above the floor, away from moving parts, in accordance with typical garage door safety guidelines. Compatibility is intended for openers with a standard two-terminal wall control interface; proprietary digital wall-console systems that do not support a dry-contact input are not supported.
