The Hörmann HSM4 Mini Hand Remote 315MHz is a compact, four-button handheld transmitter designed for operating compatible Hörmann garage door and gate openers that use the 315 MHz radio system in North America. Each button controls a separate channel, allowing you to operate up to four doors, gates, or functions on Hörmann 315 MHz receivers and operators. This model is a popular replacement remote for existing Hörmann 315 MHz installations and is intended for residential or light commercial applications where a reliable, pocket-friendly transmitter is preferred.
This HSM4 variant transmits at 315 MHz and must be paired with Hörmann operators or external receivers that specifically support 315 MHz; it is not cross-compatible with Hörmann 390 MHz, 433.92 MHz, 868 MHz, or BiSecur (BS) systems. Programming is performed through the opener or receiver’s learn mode as described in the corresponding Hörmann manual, and an onboard indicator provides feedback during operation. The unit is powered by a replaceable battery for long-term use. For safety, program and test the remote only when the door or gate area is clear, operate only with the entrance in view, and keep transmitters out of the reach of children.

Deleting radio codes
You cannot delete individual radio codes. If you have to delete a radio code you will have to delete all codes.
Press and hold the “P” button. The LED starts flashing slowly. Continue to hold the button until the LED flashes rapidly and then stops flashing and an audible signal sounds. All radio codes are now deleted.
Note: If you release the “P” button before the audible signal sounds, the deleting procedure will be interrupted.
