The Stinger 318ALD21V is a single-button visor remote transmitter designed as a compatible replacement for legacy Allstar and Allister 318 MHz fixed-code systems that use 9-switch binary DIP programming. Ideal for adding an extra remote or replacing a lost or broken transmitter, it works with many residential and commercial garage door openers and gate operators equipped with Allstar/Allister 318 MHz 9-switch binary radio receivers. Operating on a fixed 318 MHz frequency, this Stinger remote supports the two-position (on/off) DIP coding used by older Allstar/Allister installations and similar All-O-Matic setups built around the same radio standard.
Programming is straightforward: open the remote to access the internal DIP bank and match the 9-switch on/off pattern of your opener’s receiver or a working transmitter, then test for operation. No “learn” button procedure is required because it uses fixed-code DIP matching. This model is not compatible with trinary (three-position) DIP systems, 10-switch formats, or rolling-code/learn-button platforms. A visor clip is included for convenient in-vehicle use. For safety, only program and test the remote with the door or gate area clear of people and obstructions, and keep remotes out of reach of children.
