The Clopay Window Insert in Walnut Ultra-Grain, Colonial 509 is a decorative snap-in grille designed to refresh or replace the window style on compatible Clopay garage doors. Featuring Clopay’s Ultra-Grain Walnut finish to coordinate with matching door finishes, the Colonial 509 pattern is intended for Colonial (short-panel) window openings, providing a clean, traditional look. This component serves as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade for residential garage doors equipped to accept removable window inserts.

Compatibility is limited to select Clopay doors that use the snap-in insert system and Colonial window openings; verify fitment by door model, window layout, and existing frame style before ordering. Installation typically involves removing the existing insert and snapping the new grille into the exterior window frame; always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe handling around glass. The insert is decorative and non-structural, and it does not alter door insulation, wind rating, or security performance. For longevity of the Ultra-Grain finish, clean with mild, non-abrasive solutions and avoid harsh solvents.
