The Keystone Heddolf M294-1K is a single-channel external receiver designed for upgrading or replacing older Linear Multi-Code radio controls on garage door openers and gate operators. Tuned for the Multi-Code 300 MHz fixed-code format, it provides a simple way to restore remote control operation on residential and light-commercial doors, gates, barrier arms, and access systems that accept a dry-contact input. The receiver uses classic DIP-switch programming, allowing you to match the code pattern used by compatible Multi-Code transmitters (commonly referenced models include Linear Multi-Code 3089 and 3060), making it a practical replacement part for obsolete or failing radio systems.
Engineered for straightforward installation, the M294-1K typically connects to the opener’s low-voltage control terminals and is powered by the operator’s auxiliary supply in the common low-voltage range for access control receivers. It provides a momentary relay output (COM/NO/NC) for triggering the opener, and includes a wire antenna for dependable reception. Setup involves mounting the receiver near the operator, wiring power and the relay output to the push-button circuit, and setting the DIP switches to match the chosen transmitter code. For safety and compliance, use only on systems equipped with required entrapment protection and mount the receiver in a protected location or appropriate enclosure in outdoor gate applications. This receiver is intended for Multi-Code fixed-code systems and is not compatible with rolling-code platforms such as Chamberlain/LiftMaster Security+ 2.0, Genie Intellicode, or Allstar 318 MHz formats.
