The LiftMaster 66LM Keyless Entry is a wireless outdoor keypad designed for older LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and compatible Sears Craftsman garage door openers that use 390 MHz Billion Code technology. It features a bank of nine internal 3-position DIP switches that you set to match the code in your opener’s receiver or an existing 61LM/62LM/63LM transmitter. After setting the DIP switches, choose a personal 4-digit PIN; entering the PIN and pressing the Enter key activates the door, giving convenient access without a handheld remote. The unit is powered by a 9-volt battery and includes a protective flip-up cover for exterior use.
Compatibility is limited to 390 MHz Billion Code fixed-code systems typically found on mid-1990s operators; it will not work with Security+ or Security+ 2.0 rolling-code openers. Common use cases include replacing an original keypad on legacy residential or light commercial operators or adding keyless entry to systems that already use 61LM/62LM/63LM remotes. Basic setup involves mounting the keypad, matching the nine DIP switches to the opener/receiver, setting your PIN, and testing operation with the door in clear view. For safe operation, ensure the garage door system is equipped with functional safety reversing features and replace the 9V battery as needed to maintain reliable performance.
