The LiftMaster 811LM is a single-button handheld transmitter designed for commercial and industrial access control systems using Security+ 2.0 Encrypted DIP technology. Instead of traditional “learn-button only” programming, this remote uses internal DIP switches to establish an encrypted credential that is recognized by compatible Security+ 2.0 receivers. The 811LM is intended for use with Security+ 2.0 Encrypted DIP-capable receivers and controls, including LiftMaster models such as the 850LM Universal Receiver and STAR1000 commercial receiver, as well as select LiftMaster/Chamberlain commercial door and gate operators that support Security+ 2.0 Encrypted DIP. It is not compatible with older fixed-code systems or standard Security+ residential openers unless a compatible Security+ 2.0 receiver is added. Setup is straightforward: set the DIP switches inside the remote to the desired encrypted code, then place the compatible receiver in learn mode and press the remote button to enroll. The transmitter is powered by a 3V coin-cell battery (commonly CR2032). For safety and compliance, use only with properly installed UL 325-compliant operators and required entrapment protection. This remote is a practical replacement part or upgrade for facilities standardizing on LiftMaster Security+ 2.0 Encrypted DIP access control.
