LiftMaster 888LM Multi-function Wall Control Security+ 2.0

The LiftMaster 888LM Multi‑Function Wall Control is a MyQ Control Panel that upgrades many existing residential garage door openers to Security+ 2.0 and MyQ accessory compatibility. Replacing your standard wired wall button, it adds convenient light and lock functions plus a program button for easy pairing of new remotes and keypads. When used with the optional LiftMaster 828LM Internet Gateway, the 888LM enables smartphone control through the MyQ app, bringing modern connectivity to legacy LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Craftsman openers without changing the motor unit.

Designed as a wired replacement console, the 888LM connects to the opener’s wall control terminals using the existing two-conductor cable and draws power from the opener—no external power supply is required. It introduces Security+ 2.0 radio support so your system can use current LiftMaster tri‑band remotes and keyless entries, and it includes an integrated MyQ radio for pairing with compatible MyQ accessories such as the 825LM Remote Light Control and 827LM Remote Light Switch; remote internet control requires the 828LM. Compatibility typically includes LiftMaster/Chamberlain/Craftsman residential openers manufactured since 1998 with red/orange or purple Learn buttons; openers with a yellow Learn button already have Security+ 2.0 built in and generally do not need this panel, while models from before 1998 (often with a green Learn button) are not supported. This wall control is intended for residential sectional door operators and is not for commercial door operators. After installation, reprogram existing remotes and keypads at the new panel, verify proper operation of safety reversing sensors, and use the lock feature to disable remote operation when extra security is desired.
