The Miller Edge Air-Wave switch was developed for applications such as extremely wet and/or refrigerated areas subject to condensation, cold climates, high vibration environments, and other areas where a monitored electric sensing edge is not ideal. The Air-Wave switch activates when a wave of air is compressed through an air hose and triggers the internal diaphragm. This converts the pressure wave into an electrical contact, which signals the commercial door operator to stop and/or reverse motion. Air-Wave switches have adjustable sensitivity and are available in three models to suit each unique application. Air-Wave switches are compatible with Air-Wave configured sensing edges and treadles, and are non-monitored.
