The Stinger 300MCD22V is a two-button visor transmitter designed to be compatible with Linear Multi-Code fixed-code radio controls operating at 300 MHz. Ideal as a replacement remote for older Multi-Code garage door openers and gate operators, it provides independent control of two doors or gates within the same property or across different sites. Each button transmits on the 300 MHz band using fixed code, making it suitable for residential and light commercial applications where Multi-Code systems are installed.

This transmitter uses 10-position on/off DIP-switch coding per channel, allowing simple, tool-free programming by matching the DIP-switch pattern to the existing Multi-Code receiver or a working remote. It is compatible with most Linear Multi-Code 300 MHz radio receivers that use 10-switch fixed coding (such as common single- and dual-channel Multi-Code receivers like the 1090/1099 series). It is not compatible with rolling code systems or other frequencies (e.g., 310/315/318/390 MHz systems from other brands). Typical power is a 12V A23 battery. For safe operation, only pair with properly installed UL 325-compliant door and gate operators and keep transmitters out of the reach of children. Installation consists of setting the DIP switches for each button to the desired code and testing range and operation with the matching Multi-Code receiver.

Technical Tip: Universal Remotes

Models like the Chamberlain KLIK3U or LiftMaster 380UT can work with Multi-Code, but they do not have physical dip switches. You must use a "Step-and-Set" programming method to simulate the 10-switch code.
