Its wrap-around design clips directly onto the gate frame, eliminating the need for extra mounting channels — which simplifies installation and preserves a clean gate profile. When the edge is touched on the front or either side, the built-in 10 KΩ resistor (T2 monitored configuration) completes the circuit and sends an immediate stop or reverse signal to the gate operator, helping prevent entrapment or damage.
Constructed from extruded PVC housing with a sealed Alumaglas™ contact element, the MGS20 edge is built for durability in outdoor and industrial environments. The product supports standard and custom lengths (manufactured in 1/4-inch increments up to 10 ft max), offers multiple wire-outlet locations (universal, left or right), and is rated for a wide temperature range (–30 °F to +155 °F).
