The Miller Edge MGS20-K10-2U-04 Monitored Sensing Edge is built to provide robust, code-compliant safety for automated gates mounted on 2″ square posts. Its wrap-around three-sided extrusion delivers activation if an object or person contacts the front or by-sides, triggering a stop or reverse signal to the operator through the integrated 10 KΩ resistor (T2 monitored wiring). With no need for a separate mounting channel, installation is straightforward — simply wrap the edge around the post and secure with screws at the flange mounts.
Constructed from rugged extruded PVC and using a sealed Alumaglas™ contact element, the MGS20 edge is resistant to dust, debris, and harsh outdoor conditions. The edge is custom-manufactured to specified lengths (this version is 4 ft), with options for different wire-outlet locations.
