The Miller Edge MGS20-K10-2U-05-T2 Monitored Sensing Edge is engineered for automated gate systems where reliable three-sided contact detection and monitored circuit compliance are critical. This edge wraps directly around a 2″ square gate post, eliminating the need for mounting channels and preserving the gate’s aesthetic. When any of the three sensing surfaces (front, left, or right) are contacted, the built-in 10 KΩ resistor closes the monitored circuit and sends an immediate stop or reverse signal to the gate operator — helping to prevent entrapment, injury, or property damage.
Constructed from durable extruded PVC housing with a flexible cover and backed by Miller Edge’s Alumaglas™ contact element, the MGS20 edge is built to endure frequent cycles and harsh outdoor conditions. The 5 ft sensing length with 10 ft lead wire gives flexibility for installation and wiring regardless of gate size. As a UL 325 recognized component, the MGS20-K10-2U-05-T2 meets industry-standard safety requirements and is suitable for slide gates, swing gates, bi-parting gates, barrier arms, and industrial access systems.
